Power Plant Maintenance Mechanic

As our Power Plant Maintenance Mechanic, at Georgetown University you will be responsible for executing inspections, preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance on mechanical equipment to maintain campus utility production and distribution systems of steam, chilled water, condensate, and domestic water while optimizing operating costs. Every day you will assist others as necessary to maintain reliable and safe plant operation. And you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
What You'll Bring
- You will need a High School Diploma, or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience in the maintenance, rebuilding, and repairing of mechanical equipment, or the equivalent combination of training and experience is required due to the complexity of the plant systems
- You have the ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints
- You can read process and identify drawings of plant equipment and distribution systems
- Your maintenance tasks may include but are not limited to mechanical alignment, lubrication, inspection and vibration monitoring
- You will coordinate with the activities of other operations or trade personnel in relations to safe plant operations, maintenance, and reliability
Additional Details
- This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 10%
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/ will drive company vehicle on site
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- This position consist of 50% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
Compensation
Hourly Range: $35.96 USD hourly
Your position is part of a bargaining unit represented by 1199 SEIU-United Healthcare Workers East. Many of the terms and conditions of your employment, including but not limited to work scheduling, wages, vacation, sick leave, and other benefits, will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement (the "CBA") between the Company and the union.
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
