We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Aspire Nursing and Rehab of Washington. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the facility's physical plant and essential mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment in safe operating condition.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the facility's physical plant, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping duties.
- Respond promptly to resident requests and maintain a professional attitude.
- Have knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, general carpentry skills, painting, and sheetrock.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and utilize the TELs program.
- Stay knowledgeable of state, local, and federal regulations related to nursing homes.
- Attend and participate in training programs as required by the company.
- Take part in in-services and training of staff, including MSDS program, OSHA rules and regulations, and safety programs.
- Run an effective safety program, including monthly safety meetings.
- Participate in meetings, including morning meetings and QAPI.
- Perform duties as assigned in a timely manner.
- Deliver superior customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Maintain and safeguard all company tools and equipment.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- Minimum of one year of general maintenance experience.
- Possess an understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Desire to work with older adults.
- Basic knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds keeping, commercial appliance repair, multi-meter use, standard practices, and a variety of hand and power tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities.
- Personal initiative is required, yet must be willing and able to be supervised.
- Personal neatness, dependability, honesty, congeniality, and flexibility.
