Job Description:

The Director of Business Development oversees the provision of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Marketing Department. The Director of Business Development is responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization‘s continuum of care through the effective application of marketing principles and methods. As a member of the facility management team, the Director of Business Development is actively involved in discussions related to a wide variety of facility issues including, but not limited to, strategic planning, potential growth opportunities, future projects, changing in programing/protocols, recruitment and retention. The Director of Business Development is responsible for the facility‘s strategic marketing plan, enhancing the facility‘s brand/image, management of all sales and business development activities and maintaining an active and productive working relationship with internal departments and communicates issues or potential problems proactively, especially with CEO and Director of Admissions/Intake.

Cedar Springs Hospital COVID-19 vaccination mandate:

In accordance with Colorado state public health order, all healthcare workers must be vaccinated, and the Company must verify vaccine status. Pursuant to this public health order, the following modes constitute as proof of vaccination:

  • an electronic entry in the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS); OR
  • an immunization record from a licensed healthcare provider who has administered a COVID-19 vaccine to an individual who provides services for the facility or agency, specifying the vaccine administered, name and title of the person who administered the vaccine, address of the location where the vaccine was administered, and the date it was administered. A

COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow Card) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date last dose administered would suffice.

Exemptions

  1. Workers may be exempt from the vaccination requirements by providing a signed exemption form indicating one of the following:

  1. Religious Beliefs
  2. Qualifying Medical Reason

  1. To be eligible for an exemption based on Religious Beliefs, the worker must provide a written statement describing the worker‘s sincerely held religious beliefs and how those beliefs conflict with Colorado‘s August 21, 2021 Public Health Order requiring certain healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The company may request supporting documentation to further evaluate the request for religious accommodation.

  1. To be eligible for a Qualified Medical Reason exemption, the worker must provide a written statement signed by a physician, physician assistant, advanced practice nurse, or certified nurse midwife licensed in the State of Colorado stating that the COVID-19 vaccination for the employee, direct contractor, or support staff is medically contraindicated as described in the product labeling or authorized by the FDA. This statement should not describe the underlying medical condition or disability but should indicate the probable duration of the inability to receive the vaccine.

  1. A record of signed exemption forms and statements submitted in support of the exemption request must be maintained in a confidential HR Medical file, separate from the Personnel File.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor‘s degree in marketing, business or related field required. Masters of Business Administration or related field highly preferred.

Experience: Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred. Five years minimum experience in organizational communications, referral development, workshop planning, sales management, and physician relationships preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Must possess a valid Driver‘s License.

Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of the behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and, age-specific programming. Must possess demonstrated superior leadership abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in application of marketing principles including product, placement, pricing and promotion as well as management of sales, advertising, social media, online presence and, public relations resources; creativity and flexibility; skills in data collection and analysis, interpretation, application and, evaluation; strategic planning skills; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; teaching or training skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
