About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Akumin, a leading provider of radiology and oncology services. As an Ultrasound Imaging Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ultrasound imaging procedures to provide Radiologists with accurate clinical insights.
  • Collect patient history and document exam findings for Radiologists.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment in exam rooms.
  • Support imaging center operations by assisting with general tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Mandatory CPR certification.
  • ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • 1-2 years of Ultrasound experience.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations.
  • Exceptional customer service and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Willingsness to travel locally as necessary.
  • Compliance with potential COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen.
Physical Demands

Exposure to outdoor conditions, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.

  • More than 50% of the time: Sit, stand, walk, perform repetitive movements, communicate verbally.
  • Less than 50% of the time: Stoop, kneel, climb, carry non-ambulatory patients for transfers.
