Job Description

Integration Engineer is an individual contributor responsible for integrating various software components, developed internally and from external vendors, onto a hardware platform. You will be part of a product development team and be responsible for working with internal and external software development groups, test engineers and hardware vendors to create, configure, deploy and maintain system integration computers. You will also be responsible for the creation of product images for manufacturing deployment. A successful candidate must be familiar with Windows platform, be proficient in development and production deployment methodologies, and be able to develop and maintain installation scripts.

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the team to design and develop system integration and configuration software and scripts on Windows (primarily) and Linux based platforms, including VMs.
  • Provide support in the product development lab by ensuring that systems are correctly configured and are functional, for local testing and remote development staff.
  • Create and support lab development and testing environments by assembling and modifying and configuring PCs and configuring network switches.
  • Create and maintain custom Windows embedded software images for deployment at the hard drive.
  • Maintain system development, integration, and verification environments to ensure the latest versions of the software are used.
  • Create and maintain deployment and installation instructions applied at the manufacturer and customer sites.
  • Be part of the agile development team to develop startup and upgrade scripts as well as other system related requirements.
  • Maintain and document a list of software components used for image creation.
  • Contribute to definition of the hardware system requirements, identify potential system.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • BS or AS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline is acceptable.
  • A college degree is not necessarily required for this position. We also value education achieved via work experience, coursework and training, and even self-guided learning.
  • A minimum of 5 experience in Information Technology or System integration.
  • Background in audio / visual systems or hardware integration preferred.
  • Windows System Admin experience preferred.
  • Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.):
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Availability to work in the Westborough, MA or Center Valley, PA lab full time.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience as Windows Sysadmin.
  • Working knowledge of Windows image creation methods and best practices.
  • Experience with creating / maintaining secure windows platforms.
  • Understanding of networking and routing of data.
  • Understanding and experience working with hybrid environments, i.e. on-premises and cloud (aws/azure).
  • Knowledge of Windows scripting (required) – PowerShell, Jscript, VBScript. Linux scripting is a plus.
  • Understanding and experience with platform virtualization and VM administration.
  • Understanding of Agile software development process.
  • Able to create IQ/OQ documentation of integration processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding and experience in applying FDA and international standards Design Controls is desirable and highly valued.
