About the Role:

The HR Manager is an integral member of the Elevate Health Sciences Team and works closely with all levels of the company to build a strong organizational culture and drive the talent management strategies for the business. The position has primary responsibility to lead the delivery of HR services and support for the Elevate Health Sciences organization. HR services and support includes the following areas: talent acquisition and recruiting, employment life cycle support including on-boarding and off-boarding, new employee orientation, employee relations and investigations, employee counseling, assisting with benefits and payroll questions, HR handbook and employment policies, compliance with laws and regulations pertaining to employment, administration of employee recognition and service programs, employee communications. Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll do:


• Administer and execute HR processes and tools to support the employee lifecycle including talent acquisition, posting jobs, sourcing, interviewing, on-boarding, leave management, and off-boarding.


• Manage employee transitions such as employee moves, promotions, data changes, documentation, and file management using the HRIS system.


• Provide expert and objective advice, coaching, and counsel to team members on HR programs, policy and procedures, employment/labor laws, conflict resolution, change management, diversity, and organizational development to promote a fair work environment.


• Provide employee relations support to employees and leaders across Elevate Health Sciences teams including coaching, counseling, performance management, improvement plans, conducting investigations for claims regarding Healthy Workplace concerns such as harassment, discrimination, and misconduct, etc.


• Support the efforts of the organization to promote employee safety, etc.

  • Ensure compliance of all employment/labor laws through programs, policies, investigations, training, and actions. Provide documentation and ownership for content, interpretation, and execution of HR policies.
  • Maintain current and complete understanding of Federal and State employment laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, sexual harassment, and NLRA. Protect company's interests by ensuring all legal requirements are met and complied with through research, investigations, and actions. Interpret and administer policies fairly within legal boundaries.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage a team and provide direction, coaching and ongoing support with 1-3 years of people management experience.
  • Experience and understanding of HR processes and practices, including employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt to new situations and work with the entire organization from the company President to hourly employees on the manufacturing floor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service oriented and willing to respond to inquiries and requests in thoughtful, timely and professional manner.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Startup or early-stage company experience
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish
