Principal Chemist Role

We are on the lookout for a Principal Chemist to become an integral part of our organization, contributing significantly to the precision and dependability of chemical evaluations within our copper mining sector. In this role, you will oversee laboratory operations, innovate analytical techniques, and uphold industry compliance standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage and guide a team of chemists and laboratory technicians
  • Design and authenticate analytical procedures
  • Guarantee safe and effective laboratory practices
  • Offer training and support to junior personnel
  • Interpret complex data sets to inform operational strategies
  • Engage with stakeholders to deliver insights and strategic recommendations
  • Maintain adherence to environmental and safety protocols

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry
  • Proven experience in method development and validation
  • Strong leadership capabilities and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in laboratory instrumentation
  • Familiarity with quality assurance practices
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

Work Environment:

This role is situated in a laboratory setting, with occasional field visits. The position demands the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a high-energy environment.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role, operating Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel may be necessary for professional development and training opportunities.
