Aston Carter is seeking a Controller for a client based in Warren, MI. Can interview and start ASAP.

Duties:

  • This position will be responsible for handling the monthly and weekly accounting processes for 3-4 of the locations within a business unit for this company.
  • This person will handling the Accounts payable for the 3 locations they have under them, entering in invoices and keeping the data up to date.
  • They will handle all of account reconciliations for these locations and making sure the data is accurate and up to date.
  • When handling AR they will be responsible for making sure the right profit centers are being billed, Purchase Order information is correct and everything is submitted the right way.
  • The majority of this work will be done in excel, as well as a few proprietary systems to the company.
  • This person will work with the General Managers at each of the facilities they are supporting. They will help communicate updates on the P&L for that managers facility and help them with controlling those costs at times.
  • Overall this person will manage the account reconciliations, AP, AR and also serve as a back up for payroll for the 3 facilities they will be serving as the unit controller for.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree is required.
  • 3+ years working in a lead accounting position or controller role.
  • Strong excel skill required, pivot tables and vlookups. About Aston Carter:
