The International Center of Photography (ICP) is the world's leading institution dedicated to photography and visual culture. Position Summary:

The Prospect Research & Development Services Manager is an integral Development team member responsible for managing the Raiser's Edge database, including prospect, donor, and gift data entry, database maintenance, reporting and prospect research, and events management. The Prospect Research & Development Services Manager supports ICP's fundraising efforts by providing in-depth research profiles on individuals, corporations, and foundations to increase the pipeline of members, donors, and prospects.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development and working closely with the Executive Office, staff throughout the organization, and the Development team, Prospect Research & Development Services Manager will help forward a culture of philanthropy and manage opportunities for support in a rapidly changing environment.

Essential Functions and Duties:

Development Services

Manage comprehensive daily gift processing, encompassing cash, checks, credit card charges, stocks, electronic transfers, pledges, matching contributions, memorials, tributes, gifts, and in-kind donations.Pilot donor acknowledgment procedures and ensure adherence to tax record regulations for donors and foundations.Oversee and implement development operations best practices, including gift processing, receipting, and data import into Raiser's Edge using ImportOmatic. Also, manage reporting and ticketing through the ACME POS system.Coordinate financial reporting from Raiser's Edge across development, finance, visitor services, and legal departments, and liaise with the Finance Office to conduct audits, reconcile financial records, and monitor pledges and payment schedules.In collaboration with IT and marketing, direct development technology initiatives, researching potential new software systems for possible migration. Donor Database Management Pilot ICP's day-to-day database functionality by maintaining data integrity, coding constituent attributes, and performing routine database cleanup. Manage and segment prospect and donor data for appeals, e-mail campaigns, events, and special projects; produce database reports and queries to track campaigns and appeals status and success. Oversee portfolio management for the Senior Director of Development, Executive Director, and other ICP staff and trustees, utilizing reports and notifications to drive action plans. Track all donor interactions and record the next steps in a detailed and organized fashion, ensuring solicitor accountability.Advise on best practices for data entry, specifically for tracking actions and information for the development team, implement database policies and procedures for notes and actions, and conduct training for staff. Stay abreast of Raiser's Edge best practices and make recommendations regarding updates/upgrades as needed. Prospect Research Implement systematic prospect research processes to maintain a robust pipeline of prospects from all ICP activities.Utilize diverse research techniques to prepare comprehensive profiles of potential donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors. Interpret and format biographical, professional, and financial information into concise reports for fundraising purposes.Prepare profile bios and detailed research materials before major events and meetings.Establish and oversee a Prospect Management system for development staff and develop an annual and long-term operational plan to use the database as a strategic tool for the Development team.Keeps up-to-date records through the use of alerts and scanning the news to capture and store essential data on constituents, including alumni.Analyze wealth screening data to identify new individual donor prospects.Manage prospect pool for board development and endowment campaign initiatives, directly supporting the Director of Development in major giving areas. Events Management Manage donor lists from Raiser's Edge to support development events Manage invitations, RSVPs, and donor profiles for these eventsManage the planning and execution of ICP exhibition VIP opening celebrations and some stewardship events for members and donorsCoordinate communications with external vendors and ensure that all logistics are communicated cross-departmentally.

Additional Responsibilities:Support the overall goals and initiatives of the Development team, contributing to a collaborative work environment.Mentor junior Development team members for conducting selected projects that might include prospect research, writing reports, and preparing and compiling other relevant materials.Build supportive, collaborative relationships with ICP program staff to ensure accountability for gifts and donors.Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in fundraising and the art world, including seeking professional development opportunities.Preferred Qualifications:

Education Qualifications:

B.A. degree required. Higher degree preferred.Experience Qualifications:A minimum of 8 years of development services management or equivalent experience in a cultural or non-profit institution; knowledge of the visual arts world preferred. Proven experience with database and prospect management. Extensive Raiser's Edge skills.Understanding fundamentals of fundraising.
