This position is located in the Office of Human Resources under the direction of the Director. The Office of Human Resources is responsible for operating the Administration's human resources program, providing the full range of human resource services, such as employee relations, labor relations, performance management and awards, classification, recruitment and placement, position management, compensation and employee benefits.
Duties
As a HR Specialist (Team Lead E&LR), you will:
- Lead a team of specialists who provide advisory and consultative services involving a full spectrum of customer care center services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, policies, practices, theories and concepts of Employee and Labor Relations in the Federal government and their interrelationships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, policies, practices, theories, and broad concepts of employee relations programs, including adverse and disciplinary actions, labor relations, performance management, awards and recognition programs, reasonable accommodation, worker's compensation, drug testing, and suitability in the Federal government and their interrelationships.
- Develop, carry out and evaluate plans and specific projects to accomplish the regionalized/modernized delivery of services. Establishes goals, objectives, alternatives, methodologies and criteria. Evaluates effective service delivery for internal and external clients and accomplishment of goals
The ideal candidate will have experience in conflict resolution techniques sufficient to interact in occasional highly charged emotional situations because of delicate of highly contested case matters and determinations.
