AOC is seeking an experienced talent acquisition professional to develop and employ innovative and creative recruitment strategies to attract and identify highly qualified talent that are aligned with AOC's mission, vision and core values of Respect, Integrity, Safety and Empowerment.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative business partner with a diverse group of hiring managers and stakeholders across the organization and have the ability to positively influence and impact the acquisition of the best talent for AOC's current and future workforce needs.


Specific responsibilities include:


Leads efforts to identify and implement best-in-class and innovative recruitment strategies such as the best use of social media, use of discipline specific resources, and outreach to professional and trade associations, networking and branding the AOC as the employer-of-choice by applicants.

Partners with colleges, universities, trade schools, military, community-based organizations, diversity organizations and professional organizations to enhance AOC's talent pools.

Builds upon the AOC employment brand that will ultimately generate a sustained pipeline of top talent through many unique channels and strong partnerships.

Coordinates with colleagues within the office and representatives from other government agencies, private industry, professional associations, educational institutions, etc., to obtain pertinent information and explore recruitment alternatives that may be adopted.

Develops and implements a comprehensive outreach and recruitment schedule. Plans, coordinates, schedules and participates in local, State and nationwide recruiting events, initiatives and programs. Travels to conduct effective talent acquisition initiatives.
Fosters strong and collaborative working relationships with leaders across the AOC. Develops and maintains strong networking relationships with internal customers and external talent sources. Interacts directly with HR Specialists and hiring managers in planning, coordinating and scheduling various phases of the recruiting process.

Addresses hiring gaps, particularly in mission-critical occupations, by implementing and maintaining programs to attract, acquire, develop, advance and retain quality talent with the best skill sets and competencies that are intrinsically linked to the successful achievement of AOC's mission to serve Congress and the Supreme Court.

Writes and ensures delivery of recruitment communications such as advertisements, electronic messaging and other relevant content marketing feeds. Ensures recruitment advertising uses agency brand content marketing.
Plans and tracks all subscription agreements with various social media platforms to ensure they are fully utilized. Recommends new platform sources to ensure AOC stays current with recruitment and content marketing.
Utilizes approved platforms to deliver content about the AOC and recruitment drives.

Serves as key "ambassador" that promotes the AOC brand with stakeholders and is often times the first 'touch point' for recruitment sources.
