Remote, Oregon, United States Getaround Full time

Who We Are:

Getaround is the world's first connected carsharing marketplace. Launched in 2011, Getaround is available today in more than 1,000 cities across the United States and Europe.

We connect safe, convenient, and affordable cars with people who need them to live and work via our peer-to-peer marketplace. Our proprietary connected car technology allows guests to book and unlock a wide variety of vehicles directly from our app without ever having to meet anyone in person, carry an access card, wait in line, or coordinate picking up keys, unlike traditional rental car services.

Getaround is focused on providing economic opportunities to local communities. Our community includes guests who rely on our cars for on-demand mobility and entrepreneurial hosts (car owners) who share cars on our platform including those who operate their own carsharing businesses.

Did you know cars are parked 22 hours a day on average? When we share cars, we don't need as many on the road, which means fewer accidents, reduced traffic, and less space required for parking. Carsharing modernizes mobility by allowing people to connect multiple forms of efficient transportation for any type of use case.

Through carsharing, we aim to lessen greenhouse gasses and reduce pollution. Studies show that when carsharing is available, people drive less and drive vehicles more appropriate for their use case, which can reduce household carbon emissions by up to 40%. Also, shared cars are used more frequently and retired more quickly, accelerating the adoption of newer, more energy-efficient vehicles.

Our mission is to empower people to carshare everywhere by enabling the shift away from car ownership, want to join us?

Remote

Full-Time/Regular, Exempt

At Getaround, we believe in a world where all cars are shared. Carsharing empowers people to get going in a smarter, easier way, while also having a positive impact on the environment and making cities more liveable. It's this vision that propels us forward and inspires us to think even bigger.

We're the world's leading carsharing platform with a community of more than 5 million users sharing over 11,000 connected cars across 7 countries.

We have now extended our platform to serve the Gig economy. Last year, we acquired HyreCar, the leading carsharing platform for Gig workers that drive for Rideshare and Delivery services.

Our team is collaborative, positive, curious, and engaged. We value diversity and inclusivity and welcome people from all backgrounds to join us in our mission to make it easier for Gig workers to access the carsharing community.

  • You'll be the Product Manager leading the HyreCar platform, whose mission is to maximize earnings for Gig workers and Owners by building intuitive and seamless solutions that simplify their carsharing journey. Your squad implements new features and changes in many key parts of the product: from optimizing the algorithm that ranks cars in our marketplace to developing robust features to improve our claims process, to building features that make it easier for our owners to onboard their first car, you will be deeply embedded in our Gig ecosystem.
  • You'll set the product strategy and empower others to come up with great solutions. As the owners of your roadmap, you and your teammates will be responsible for translating the company's strategic goals into a quarterly action plan.
  • You'll aim for the optimal outcome on the company's Objectives and Key Results: the value delivered to our business and our users matters more than the number of releases shipped.

Supply:

Building reporting tools to give owners visibility into the financial performance of their fleet. You'll drive a squad of talented backend and fullstack developers, a product data analyst, as well as mobile and design resources. You'll report to Senior Product Manager for Gig
