SUMMARY:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish the Company's long-range operational goals and objectives in support of the growth and profit goals set by the President.Continually strive to conceive new ideas, products, and/or services for the Company to achieve its primary goal of increasing profits, in an ethical manner.Participate in the selection and appointment of the production personnel.Assist in establishing Measurements for employee performance.Maintain open communication with all employees, particularly those who report directly to him/her.Perform all other tasks and duties assigned by senior management.Maintains Safety Policies and PracticesEnsures facility areas are kept in a high state of cleanliness, free of all safety hazards and organized.Submits the reporting of all square footage, completed, errors and breakage with explanation.Process jobs only if you have the necessary slab sign -off / waiver, work orders approved drawings on specification and / or templates.Ensures all quality control forms and status verification sheets are completed for each job and corrective action is enforced when guidelines are not followed.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of five years' experience in fabrication or installation environment, with two years in a lead/supervisory position.Advance level technical knowledge of the proper operation of any / all equipmentMust meet the basic level of proficiency and understanding of routine equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.Must meet the basic level of proficiency and competency for the safe operation of material handling equipment.Must understand the detailed quality control inspection process and ensure quality assurance on all cut jobs.Ability to detect process and system deficiencies and clearly describe improvements that will enhance quality throughput.Basic level of proficiency with programming softwareAbility to communicate on professional level with co-workers & management, technical engineers, and customers.MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:Quality Product Service Score of 9.5 out of 10.98% On Time Production.Effectively manages direct labor costs to meet installation profit margin goals and industry standard square footage production. square footage a day which can vary with seasonality and growth.Reduce overtime to properly align with production output and departmental budgets.All major employee grievances and customer complaints brought to the attention of the President have been resolved or are in the process of being resolved within 24 hours.Policies and Procedures are consistently maintained. Passes spot check audits noting procedures are followed. (i.e. Job Control Sheets completed by all staff)Safety Program is implemented and maintained (No work-related injuries reported)External Customer Satisfaction Ratings are met (i.e. VOC Score is 4.5 or greater)
EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED:A bachelor's degree is preferred.Must have a current and valid driver's license.Must have strong people management, organizational, and planning capabilities, be a competent leader of the job workforce, have the willingness and skills to monitor and control the activities of the job and properly implement the required motivational incentives for the accomplishment of those goals.The position requires good communication skills with appropriate command of the English language and the understanding and knowledge of how to deal with people effectively with varied backgrounds.
