Hours: Can vary 24 hours per day, 7 days per week

POSITION INFORMATION:

Job Purpose:
To prepare multi-unit web-fed rotary press to print newspapers according to specificationsTo maintain press and keep in good working order

Tasks Performed:
Marks up pressSpots plates and helps to re-platePlate up press. / Strip pressChecks folios in paperChecks color dots to ensure correct orderMarks up chalk board or posts lists of re-platesHelps pick up old plates and put in binRe-marks up press for days runs when requiredHelps put sheet in if web breaksCompletes pre-run check lists and pre-setsHelps check units and web catchers for wraps after web breaksGather webs as they come over the former (roll up trash during make ready) restriction?Remove paper from end of the conveyorLoads rolls for runMakes paster pattern according to TWP specs on all rolls, checking all rolls for damageFills out and maintains reel reports for entire runChecks all infeed rollers and reel tension on running rollsCorrectly positions black tape on rolls and sets paste pattern position sensor knob (commutator) for each pasterMake sure all rolls are in running positionMake sure ARL is in auto positionSet manual tension and floater rollerMonitor floating rollers on reelsCheck and adjust cocking rollers as neededHelps others as needed

The salary range for this position is:
42, ,500.00 USD Annual

The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
