Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a seasoned Security Engineer to join their expanding Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. As a senior-level Security Engineer at HRT, you will play a key role in designing secure identity, authentication, and access control solutions that have a strategic impact on the company's global cyber security systems.

The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of secure user authentication patterns for web applications, endpoints, and servers, as well as experience with single sign-on (SSO), PAM, and directory services. Proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python, is required, along with experience managing Linux systems in a multi-user environment. Deep knowledge of secure IAM principles and technologies, strong organizational and communication skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues are also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement SSO and MFA solutions
  • Establish firm-wide policies, standards, and procedures for IAM
  • Support the integration of standard IAM solutions across all HRT systems and applications
  • Create and automate processes for regular user access reviews

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing IAM solutions
  • Understanding of identity federation such as SAML, OIDC, OAuth, etc.
  • Proficiency in a programming language, with a preference for Python
  • Experience with configuration management tools like SaltStack, Terraform, etc.
  • Familiarity with technologies like Kerberos, PKI, LDAP, and Linux PAM
  • Experience with modern identity security tools, least privilege, and PAM (preferred)

Annual base salary range of $150,000 to $250,000, with possible variations based on skills and experience. Additional components of the total compensation package may include sign-on bonuses, performance bonuses, and company-paid medical benefits.
