As a Supervisory Program Manager (Acquisition) at the GS you will lead a team of acquisition program managers and management analysts to establish and implement effective acquisition policies, processes, and initiatives for the Agency.

This senior-level role plays a critical part in ensuring successful program execution, achieving mission objectives, and providing guidance to a broad range of acquisition professionals, including Program Managers (PM), Contracting Officer's Representatives (COR) and Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program staff.

In this position some of your typical work assignments may include:


Lead the development, implementation, communication, and training of Agency-wide acquisition policies, plans, and processes, including those related to the GPC program.

Advise senior leadership on strategic plans to improve acquisition efficiency and effectiveness.

Manage and oversee major acquisition projects and initiatives, including developing new systems and processes for acquisition and GPC program professionals.

Provide guidance and training to PMs and CORs, ensuring they effectively manage the contractual, financial, and technical aspects of programs and projects.

Develop and analyze performance metrics, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action for both acquisition initiatives and the GPC program.

Work collaboratively with team members to develop repeatable processes for program reviews and assessments.
Analyze acquisition findings, capture lessons learned, and implement improvements to continuously enhance Agency mission accomplishment.
Identify opportunities for Agency-wide application of acquisition best practices, fostering common business and operational approaches.

Lead a team of acquisition program managers and management analysts, assigning work, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
