Position Title: Sr Full-Stack Engineer

Location: Santa Monica, CA

I: Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop new software features on web application front-end and back end, including designing architecture, coding, and testing;
  • Develop next generation practice management platforms;
  • Collaborate with Product team to help understand customer needs, troubleshoot potential problems, and define upcoming features;
  • Write clean, efficient, well-tested code that improves code base in meaningful ways;
  • Help diagnose problems and architect solutions;
  • Work with Ruby on Rails development, modern JavaScript Frameworks specifically or and the ecosystem around those frameworks;
  • Design and implement large, scalable web applications with clean, elegant, and simple code;
  • Take Rails apps from idea, to shipped, to production;
  • Work with production environments to help troubleshoot problems.

II: Experience Required:

  • 4 years of experience performing data analysis and building business intelligence dashboards.

III: Educational and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking or a closely related degree plus 5 years of experience with Ruby on Rails Development; OR
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking or a closely related degree plus 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails Development.

III: Special Skills Required:

  • Experience in at least one modern JavaScript Framework specifically or and the ecosystem around those frameworks
  • Understanding of Test Driven Development
  • Pivotaltracker/GitHub/Slack/Hangouts
  • Understanding of web application security and best practices
  • Knowledge of managing MySQL/Postgres/Redis/NGINX
  • Experience with Linux, preferably CentOS/RHEL
  • Infrastructure management via Chef
  • Experience with compliance standards PCI/HIPAA
