Description

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and training for EFT Point of Sale (POS) associates and their responsibilities. This includes POS reconciliation and customer service tasks, as well as, reviewing and/or approving the work of these associates. This position provides project and financial management services to EFT to enable and support information-based decision making. This includes gathering and analyzing various EFT tender-related data, identifying trends and opportunities, and providing technical support for new and existing processes. This position serves as first line problem solving and decision making for the department.

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or another analytical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3 years' experience in accounting
  • knowledge of Accounting principles
  • knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) methodology
  • strong leadership skills
  • ability to be forward-thinking
  • strong interpersonal communication skills (oral and written)
  • ability to process a high volume of work accurately including good time management skills
  • must be self-motivated
  • must be flexible and highly productive
  • auditing skills and attention to detail
  • ability to demonstrate a high-level of professionalism, maturity and tact

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or another analytical discipline
  • 8 years' experience in accounting
  • knowledge of Banking Regulation E
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements/standards
  • supervisory skills
  • knowledge of SOX requirements and controls
  • intermediate skill level in Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel
