As a vital team member of the Affinitiv Infrastructure team, the System Administrator plays a key role in handling the everyday operations and upkeep of onsite systems hardware & software. The System Administrator offers support and is tasked with addressing and resolving technical support calls / tickets from staff. The System Administrator should have the ability to be self-driven, set work objectives, operate under general supervision, and exhibit a level of creativity and adaptability.

On-Site Data Center Location - Tampa Location is Essential.

Description
  • Assistance in daily activities involving configuration and operation of systems within a datacenter situated in Tampa.
  • Aid in optimizing system operation and resource utilization, and conduct system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Support users in accessing and utilizing business systems.
  • Participate in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Windows operating systems and related software.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and groups in Active Directory.
  • Diagnose hardware and software problems, and cooperate with vendors for assistance.
  • Carry out routine backup and recovery operations to uphold data integrity.
  • Implement patches and updates to keep systems secure with the latest software versions and security patches.
  • Contribute to network administration tasks such as setting up routers, switches, and firewalls.
Qualifications:

On-Site Data Center Location - Tampa Location is Essential
  • Provision, configure, maintain, and oversee production Windows applications on Amazon Web Services' Elastic Cloud Compute (AWS EC2) platform or a similar cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Handle/Deploy Enterprise Firewalls Cisco and Fortigate and possess familiarity with AWS VPC environments.
  • Experience in administering MS Windows Server roles or features like Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, File Services, IIS, Group Policy, and Print Management for at least 1 year.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL servers.
  • Aid in optimizing system operation and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and groups in Active Directory.
  • Diagnose hardware and software problems, and cooperate with vendors for assistance.
  • Execute routine backup and recovery operations to uphold data integrity.
  • Implement patches and updates to keep systems secure with the latest software versions and security patches.
  • Contribute to network administration tasks like configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, network protocols, Active Directory, and other server technologies is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting, virtualization technologies, and backup solutions is also preferred.
  • Capability to identify and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are essential.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for engaging with team members and end-users.
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail to ensure precise documentation, system configuration, and maintenance tasks.
  • Understanding of security principles and best practices, including user access control, data encryption, vulnerability management, and patching.
  • Readiness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Ability to function as part of a team and autonomously is necessary.
