Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is in search of a Principal Cyber Systems Administrator to become a vital member of our adept team, known for their results-oriented and customer-centric approach. Your Daily Responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions and ensure the seamless operation of multi-user computer systems, collaborating with Cyber Systems Engineers and Cyber Security teams.
  • Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support (Domain Administration, System Administration, and Network Administration) across various enclaves.
  • Provide insights and take action to enhance user experience and enterprise system management.
  • Drive technical solutions from initial testing through to implementation.
  • Collaborate with users and stakeholders.
  • Additional responsibilities may include maintaining system documentation, optimizing system performance, installing system-wide software, and managing mass storage allocation.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Six (6) years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics (STEM); or four (4) years with a Master's degree. Note: Four (4) years of additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

Additional Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance that was active within the last 24 months. TS/SCI eligibility must be established by the start date.
  • Must possess DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to the start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong working knowledge in three or more of the following areas:

  • Administration of virtualization environments utilizing technologies such as vCenter, ESXi, and storage provisioning, including the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of virtual servers and workstations.
  • Experience with various Linux distributions, assisting end users by navigating command line interfaces across different Linux Operating Systems including Ubuntu, Red Hat, Pypi, and CentOS.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and configuring Windows operating systems and Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DHCP, GPOs, DNS, LDAP, MS Exchange, MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager), MS SQL, and WSUS.
  • Experience in maintaining both physical and virtual network environments, with knowledge of Cisco and/or VMware NSX technologies, including routing protocols, ports, and layer 2/3 switch configuration.
  • Understanding of storage solutions such as NetApp ONTAP and/or Synology, along with backup applications like VEEAM, and the ability to implement backup and recovery strategies.
  • Experience in scripting (e.g., Batch, Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate routine tasks.

What to Expect:

  • During the first 30 days: Onboarding activities will include Northrop Grumman training requirements, program overviews, system architecture familiarization, and department-specific training to establish a solid foundation for the new team member. Introductions to management and team leads will provide insight into team dynamics while identifying key areas where you will contribute to the mission.
  • Days 30 through 90: Further integration into the team, actively working alongside experienced members to gain a comprehensive understanding of daily tasks and requirements. Tasks will be assigned at a pace conducive to ensuring your success.
  • Day 90 and beyond: Opportunities focused on mission objectives with the potential for collaboration across multiple teams. From leading daily activities to testing innovative feature enhancements within the enterprise architecture, you will have the opportunity to invest in your future while delivering maximum value to our customer's mission.

Salary Range: $84,200 - $126,400. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results.
