Job Summary and Qualifications

1. Demonstrates a high level of technical and operational expertise in performing Endoscopy procedures.

2. Demonstrates knowledge of reprocessing endoscopes, accessories and automatic washers.

3. Establishes a physical environment conducive to the delivery of safe and efficient patient care.

4. Assumes responsibility/accountability for all coverage, weekly hours worked and assigned committee tasks.

5. Assumes responsibility for professional development through continuing education and inservices.

6. Anticipates and maintains adequate inventory of supplies and medications while controlling costs and eliminating waste.

7. Demonstrates proficiency in hospital information systems, to include Meditech and/or SSI systems.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION:

Required: High school graduate or GED. Must have current, valid CPR certification.

Preferred: Some college coursework in healthcare or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: Previous experience in healthcare or a related field.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (within two weeks of hire)
