We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech PRN to join our team at Independence Park Imaging. As a Radiology Tech PRN, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality radiographs of patients, ensuring radiation safety, and providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities- Obtain quality radiographs of patients within the department and with portable equipment in a timely manner.
- Comply with radiation safety guidelines for patients and self, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment.
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently.
- Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS, to ensure proper charges and referring physician orders are verified.
- Rendere patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, maintaining room cleanliness and neat appearance of work areas and dressing rooms.
- Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient.
- Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS.
- Assist Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS clean up, including cleaning CR plates, erasing cassettes, closing and sending exams from workstations, etc.
- Complete and maintain personal educational requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employees and patient information according to Policy and Procedure.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- State Registered Radiologic Technician.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
- Vocational School Graduate.
