Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech PRN to join our team at Independence Park Imaging. As a Radiology Tech PRN, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality radiographs of patients, ensuring radiation safety, and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain quality radiographs of patients within the department and with portable equipment in a timely manner.
  • Comply with radiation safety guidelines for patients and self, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
  • Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS, to ensure accurate and efficient workflow.
  • Verify proper charges and referring physicians' orders, ensuring accurate billing and patient care.
  • Provide patient care in a professional and courteous manner, addressing patient needs and concerns.
  • Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and other types of care to patients.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy, completing the verification process in PACS.
  • Assist the Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS clean-up, ensuring accurate and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician certification.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
  • Vocational School Graduate.
