As we continue to grow and seek to impact more lives, we're building a diverse, driven, and empathetic team, while working hard to cultivate an environment where everyone can thrive.
The OpportunityWe're seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical support team, you'll provide an exceptional experience for our patients by delivering high-quality venipuncture services, performing extended scope duties, and maintaining high standards of in-office care.

As a Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist, you'll also be responsible for dispensary responsibilities, including verifying counts, maintaining inventory, placing orders, receiving and stocking, filling, packaging, and labeling prescriptions for patient pick-up.
You'll continue to care for our members beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting our providers and virtual medical team with clerical duties such as biometric screening forms, medical record and consult review, billing inquiries, and DOH reporting.
You'll use impeccable C-I-CARE in all patient interactions and ensure a fluid and positive in-office experience through patient intake, same-day schedule management, appropriate follow-up scheduling, strong knowledge of billing and insurance, monitoring patient feedback, and assisting with outreach as necessary.
All front-of-house duties, including check-in/check-out, insurance verification, printing/paperwork tasks, prepping tests, tasking to service level expectations, and assisting our senior patients by performing other administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, sending faxes, and coordinating transportation for patients.
You'll contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, participating in team problem-solving, supporting in-office providers with ad-hoc asks, and performing opening and closing duties/daily office upkeep as required, including maintaining the look and feel of both patient and employee-facing spaces, restocking supplies, and organization.
You'll master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work.
What You'll NeedTo be successful in this role, you'll need at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment. A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks.
Phlebotomy experience and/or certification preferred, as well as experience with extended scope care, including non-blood specimen collection and processing, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs.
BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary, starting at $19.00 per hour based on a full-time schedule. We also provide a range of benefits, including paid sabbatical after 5 and 10 years, Employee Assistance Program, competitive Medical, Dental, and Vision plans, free One Medical memberships for yourself, your friends, and family, pre-tax commuter benefits, PTO cash-outs, and more.
