Job Summary

The RN Patient Safety Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for implementing strategies that promote a culture of safety and excellence in patient care. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient safety programs and initiatives to reduce medical errors and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and analyze safety performance indicators and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Conduct clinical reviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement educational programs to address practice gaps and promote a culture of safety.
  • Develop and maintain quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • RN Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC) required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, process improvement, or education.
  • 3-5 years as a Registered Nurse in a pediatric acute care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certification in Patient Safety (CPPS) or Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
  • Strong clinical background with the ability to understand medical terminology, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
