The Role: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

As a CNA in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will play a vital role in assisting patients as they recover from anesthesia following surgical procedures.

Position Highlights:

  • Monday - Friday schedule
  • No on-call requirements

What You'll Do:

  • Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
  • Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
  • Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.

What You Need:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
  • Previous experience in PACU, surgical, or acute care setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of post-operative care and monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused with a strong attention to detail.
