We have the opportunity to address these needs beyond providing payments by helping small businesses address additional top pain points like finding new customers, paying suppliers and employees, managing business cashflows, among others.

We have modernized our platform to allow SMBs to adopt any / all of our products via a single integration or workflow.

To help us achieve these goals, we are seeking to build / buy / partner to add solutions that address the needs of our small business customers.

We are seeking a strong, seasoned leader to join our product team as Director, Value Added Services, which will help PayPal achieve those goals.

Job Description:


Your way to impactUnderstand the small business segment and their needs Ability to evaluate build / buy / partner for each solution Partner with the commercial team to have a strong point of view on how to sequence the build and launch of value-added services Work within the product teams to have the value-added services we offer work seamlessly with the existing products in the portfolio Accelerate growth by leading the design and development of capabilities to deepen engagement with existing base, reduce churn, scale existing target markets and unlock new use cases.

Represent the 'voice of the customer' and target market approach across the business unit.
Define the product roadmap to ensure we're building the right solutions for our current and future target markets.
Influence cross-functionally across Product, Commercial teams, Design, Sales, and Growth to drive alignment on strategy, narrative, and priorities.
Work closely with GTM on how to bring our value-added services to market and create adoption and engagement.

years of leadership experience in fintech, payments, or financial services companies that cater to SMB customers Good understanding of SMB merchant needs in US and Europe Experience leading products that require coordination of many stakeholders and cross functional teams Experience developing a multi-year vision, strategy and product roadmap for large scale products Very strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems Global Experience a plus Ability to navigate highly matrixed environment We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates.
