As a Visual Information Specialist, you will:

  • Serve as primary specialist for original electronic and printed matter projects including all VA OIG publications, presentations, and graphic renderings.
  • Complete highlevel, complex, and high visibility projects that frequently often cut across organizational lines, requiring frequent consultation with top VA OIG staff to understand their needs and advise on effective design concepts.
  • Maintain effectiveness and consistency in design and production, review visual materials produced by other elements of the VA OIG, administer the procurement of all types of visual art services, and makes program recommendations to the Communications Chief that relate to the visual programs of the VA OIG.
  • Use the available desktop publishing technology and equipment in the development, design, and production of unique highprofile multimedia products for VAOIG, including illustrations, videos, motion graphics, digital and printed publications, posters, or other visual presentations, to include recruitment and promotionalrelated content.
