The Design Systems team is responsible for the themes, components, icons, and Figma tools that are used by designers and engineers across DoorDash. You will work closely with other system designers, product designers, design engineers, and design leadership.
About the RoleWe're looking for a Senior Design Systems Designer to extend our DoorDash design system to support all the needs of our apps as we grow into new categories like grocery, convenience, retail, and beyond.
This includes helping product designers evolve vertical-specific component libraries, creating high-level pattern guidance, and partnering on strategic projects like net new features and upleveling our visual design. This role would work closely with both product designers and design system designers, translating between product specific needs and the shared core system.
You will report into the Head of Design Systems on our Design Infrastructure team in our Product Design organization. This role is expected to work in a hybrid model, 2-3 days per week onsite, and 2-3 days working from home.

- Guide product designers to use the design system to the fullest extent, leveraging existing patterns and extending them when necessary.
- Partner with product designers on strategic projects, like net new features and redesigns, and elevate their designs with solid visual design and systems thinking.
- You are a Senior designer with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- You are a role model for visual design quality and design systems development.
- You are able to navigate, define and drive highly complex product architecture system changes.

CompensationThe location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
