About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Engineer to join our team at Arup. As a key member of our renewable energy team, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale renewable energy facilities, including solar, wind, and energy storage systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and layout solar, wind, and other renewable energy facilities and related site infrastructure in collaboration with senior engineering staff.
- Perform engineering and design calculations, including sizing of AC and DC cabling systems.
- Deliver various aspects of solar and renewable energy system design, including economic evaluations.
- Act as a project manager or deputy project manager for utility scale renewable planning and design projects.
- Delegate and direct the activities of junior engineering staff where appropriate.
- Prioritize tasks to ensure quality deliverables and customer satisfaction while adhering to budget.
- Support business development, proposal, and client relationship management activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience, with at least 3 years experience in the renewable power generation sector.
- PE license desired and eligible to obtain PE license across any state.
- Experience with PVSyst, CADD/PLSCADD software, modelling, design and/or analysis software preferred.
- Strong technical communication skills (writing and verbal) and ability to read and interpret technical literature and engineering plans.
