The Specialist will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of Aircraft Maintenance and Airport Technical Operations reporting, analytics, and project management. The Specialist will develop actionable insights for initiatives focused on resource planning, headcount and finance related key performance indicators used to drive world class maintenance operations and profitability by conducting analysis and making fact-based recommendations. The specialist will be expected to build dashboards and other interactive visualization tools that will enable leadership to make informed decisions.

The Specialist will be expected to have experience in SQL, PowerBI, Tableau and other database interface tools, maintain a comprehensive understanding of the operation, and reach self-sufficiency requiring little supervision within first 6 months. The Specialist will also be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams, quickly learn unfamiliar topics, manage multiple project deadlines, and establish lasting relationships with peers across TechOps.

This is an in-person role at the Atlanta TechOps Maintenance Facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads high visibility, high impact projects that will shape and define resource strategy initiatives
  • Demonstrates characteristics of a leader including leading projects with team members, presenting to senior leaders, and frequently representing the team in interactions with cross divisional executive TechOps Leaders
  • Manages and builds dashboards, reports, communications, and presentations providing visibility into hiring trends, financial labor variance and equipment allocation system wide
  • Leverages emerging technologies and identifies meaningful ways to communicate data and analysis to satisfy business unit needs

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of related experience required, 5+ years preferred.
  • Experience with some or all of the following: SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Power Apps or other database interface tools and languages
  • Must have superior technical, quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as demonstrate critical thinking with respect to cause-and-effect relationships
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Previous experience in the airline industry
  • Experience in predictive analytics and modeling
  • Ability to manage a reporting database environment, troubleshoot, and automate reporting within Teradata/AWS using SQL/Python preferred
