As a Sr. Sales Account Executive (Hunter), you will represent GPI completely and successfully in all interactions with prospects and assigned customer(s). This role is focused on identifying and acquiring new business opportunities within the folding carton industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a proven history of exceeding sales targets. Ability to initiate and maintain long-term relationships with various functional groups with prospects and assigned and developed accounts. Work from company policies and objectives to lead associates in a focused way to serve customers satisfactorily and profitably. The ability to work with little guidance and direction is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and target potential customers in need of folding carton packaging solutions. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct compelling sales presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the value proposition, benefits, and features of our folding carton products.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospects and new customers. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty through effective communication and support.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' products. Use this knowledge to form sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Sales Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with prospects and customers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements. Close sales deals and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Southeast Sales Project Manager Advisor, Sales Leadership, Marketing, and production teams to align on prospect and customer sales strategies and company goals.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress toward sales targets. Prepare regular reports for management review.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate prospect and customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop regular reports and communications with prospects and customers on critical business metrics.
  • Coordinate GPI resources (i.e., marketing, technical, operations, Graphics, customer service, etc.) to provide value-added services and support to prospect accounts.
  • Strong Excel and data processing skills, working with spreadsheets, pricing matrices, and specification documents.
  • Strong understanding of equipment and technology profiles, capabilities, metrics, and carton production process.
  • Deliver a robust increase in revenue and gross profit throughout the year and year over year.
  • Manage initial prospect and customer requests for projects, including estimates, CAD samples, timelines, and specifications, and manage the commercialization efforts for those projects.
  • Support new customers, Customer Service, and sales team with commercial deliverables, including estimates, requests, CAD Samples, pricelists, changes, reports etc.
  • Supervise and drive the qualification of new packages or package revisions for prospects and new customers. Plan, attend, and track trials as required in GPI and customer(s) plants.
  • Provide or coordinate technical assistance in resolving issues with GPI cartons at prospect and customer plants as needed.
  • Support the needs of GPI internal stakeholders, plant and operational leaders, customer service teams, demand and capacity planning teams, and finance teams.
  • Coordinate and update tailored prospect and new customer presentation material(s) encompassing GPI's value propositions and capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree, in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. 3 to 5 years of demonstrated sales, customer service, or related experience in the Folding carton segment or equivalent combination of experience and education.

  • Proficiency in running meetings and formal presentations.

Pay Range: $93,030.00 - $124,005.00
