Job Description
  • Partner with leaders to identify, manage, and foster effective relationships with key education, military, and other talent related organizations. Establish and continual refinement of our criteria for selecting academia, military, and other new to industry sources. Establish and maintain a list of key contacts for all engagements.
  • As a member of the US Academia Strategy team, partner closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure our campus relations strategy supports any new strategic direction and has strong business group engagement.
  • Contribute to the annual recruiting strategy to extend our academia reach, target hard-to-find talent, and support proactive recruiting for critical hires.
  • Focus on diversity initiatives in the early and new to industry talent space via campus organizations (i.e. SWE, SHPE, Robotics, Tech clubs, SBE, and internal DEI and ERG teams.
  • Partner with marketing and talent acquisition teams to create a strategy to position the company as an "Employer of Choice" through employment branding tactics and strategic marketing (including social media posts, posters, informational materials, presentation decks, etc).
  • Drive internal collaboration with manufacturing, service, and R&D teams to determine talent strategy to support TEL future talent needs. Understand all aspects of the manufacturing and tech talent pipeline.
  • Ensure overall TEL U.S. Talent Ambassador program is robust and engaged with quarterly update meetings and reporting.
  • Define the approach to event planning, management, and execution for campus & targeted niche events, including recruitment events and diversity conferences.
  • Provide a platform for year-round and consistent messaging to stay engaged with potential academia, military, and other new to industry talent.
  • Leverage workforce analytics and internal data to identify gaps and ensure we have an adequate pipeline to support TEL's early and new to industry talent needs. This includes partnering with TA Manager of experienced hires to analyze full employee life cycle to determine best performing talent sources.
  • Assist in regularly reviewing and developing university recruitment policies to ensure optimal ability to meet business needs.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain robust full cycle TEL US internship program to include leader consultation regarding interns, talent attraction, candidate selection, onboarding, intern performance/ratings, and new college graduate hiring initiative.
  • Assist in crafting training or work-based learning programs to include apprenticeships, internships, job shadowing, mentoring relationships, and on the job training for TMEA.
  • Leverage student perception studies to develop relevant and engaging content/messaging for our collateral.
  • Prepare semi-annual report on virtual and campus recruiting programs to support continuous improvement of our channels.
  • Various other duties as requested.

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience; or Master's Degree with 6 years of related experience; or Associate's Degree with 12 years of related experience; or 16 years of experience in lieu of degree. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 8 years experience, with 5 years recruiting experience in a corporate, educational, or non-profit environment.
  • Experience in project management and/or program development.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Achieve exceptional business results with minimal supervision/guidance.
  • Extremely flexible, proactive, highly organized, and able to quickly shift priorities.
  • Comfortable speaking to large groups and individuals at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
