Job Description

The Automation Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

Design and develop automation solutions for industrial machinery.Program and interface with automated systems; Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc robots, UR collaborative robots, Keyence vision systems, HMIs, and other related components.Integrate various machinery and equipment with automated systems.Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for automation projects.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated systems and equipment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards in all automation projects.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering3-5 years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, and automation software (e.g., Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs, Fanuc Robots and UR Robots).Strong understanding of electrical and control systems, including sensors, actuators, and drives.Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and process improvement.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
