Position Overview:

As a Building Automation Systems Technician, your role will involve the repair, configuration, and maintenance of building automation systems (BAS) that govern HVAC, lighting, and other essential building operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance for energy efficiency.
  • Conducting routine maintenance and repairs while providing technical support to clients.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Staying informed about industry advancements and training building staff on system operations.

Key Deliverables:

  • Efficiently complete service calls and preventative maintenance on existing control systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of HVAC principles, including design, production, refrigeration, controls, and service.
  • Consult with clients regarding issues encountered during service and provide detailed records of services performed.
  • Foster and enhance relationships with new and existing customers.

Your Background:

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A solid understanding of air-conditioning principles and commercial HVAC mechanical equipment.
  • Expertise in job site safety regulations, including WISHA/OSHA standards.
  • A two-year degree or equivalent experience demonstrating a solid understanding of HVAC and control systems, particularly direct digital control systems.
  • Experience with platforms such as Niagara, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Alerton, or Trane.
