The Administrative Faculty will support Ed.D. research in the School of Human Development and Education (HDE), Early Childhood Education Program. The role involves teaching online (synchronous & asynchronous) and serving on doctoral research committees. The position requires close collaboration with the program director, faculty, and staff to foster a robust research culture at the college. Additional responsibilities include the oversight of the Institutional Review Board, the Committee for Research Integrity, and Doctoral Research Project administrative services.

This is a 12 -month position which requires professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, and integrity.

This position is located in Pasadena, CA and reports directly to the Dean of the School of Human Development & Education.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Minimal or no supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Teach online courses for the academic year and serve on relevant faculty and doctoral research committees.Advise Ed.D. students and participate in orientation sessions, program planning, and faculty training.Provide administrative support for research activities and oversee the Institutional Review Board (IRB).Collaborate with core faculty on curriculum and program development, ensuring curriculum fidelity and participating in ongoing program improvement through data collection and analysis.Review course evaluations and discuss outcomes with adjunct faculty each semester.Attend department meetings and other necessary meetings, both in person and via Zoom.Assist the Associate Dean in developing long-term plans for the Ed.D. program.Performs other duties as assigned. Regular attendance is essential in this position. Communication & Management: Excellent communication, organizational, writing, editorial, and project management skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, addressing the needs of a diverse population.
