  • Consultation and Direction: Provide consultation and direction to programmer/analysts on data management and analysis strategies, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Subject Assessments and Chart Reviews: Conduct subject assessments or chart reviews, or provide direction to research support staff performing these tasks, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Presentations and Abstracts: Submit abstracts to and present papers at national scientific meetings, showcasing research findings and expertise.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Seek consultation from research scientists for specific scientific and administrative issues, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Departmental Participation: Participate in Department of Research and Evaluation meetings and projects as appropriate, contributing to the advancement of our research goals.
Requirements:
  • Education: Current or anticipated doctoral degree (Ph.D, Dr.PH, MD, Sc.D) in epidemiology, health services research, economics, or a related field, or a clinical doctoral degree plus a master's degree with formal research training.
  • Experience: No prior experience required, but a strong background in research methods, statistical techniques, and study design is essential.
  • License, Certification, Registration: Not applicable.
Additional Requirements:
  • Advanced Research Methods: Competent in advanced research methods, including statistical techniques and study design commonly used in epidemiologic, behavioral, health services research, economics, or related fields.
  • Training Position: One-year, renewable training position, contingent upon funding and performance.
  • Collaborative Environment: Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Publication and Grant Writing Experience: Track record of publication in the peer-reviewed literature and grant-writing experience, demonstrating expertise in epidemiology and research methods.
