Job Summary
The Lead Programmatic Ad Ops Specialist ensures the successful fulfillment of programmatically sold Digital advertising campaigns for Spectrum Reach. Works on programmatic deals supporting order entry, rekeying of excel documents/smartsheets into respective SSPs/DSPs. The Lead Programmatic Ad Ops Specialist has direct contact with multiple cross functional teams, suppliers, at times direct client contact

  • At least 2+ years' experience working Ad Operations at a media company, DSP, SSP or ad network ideally in programmatic space
  • Experience in using Ad servers, DSP, SSP, DMPs and working with ad networks.
  • Manage and ensure accurate implementation, launch and delivery of the programmatic campaigns.
  • Experience with how a PMP and PG deal types work.
  • Work with publishers and SSPs to debug and resolve tech/inventory issues.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SSP Platforms (Magnite, Freewheel), and other Advertising software or technology.
  • Traffic all ads in the ad serving platform and confirm successful implementation.
  • Maintain Ad Ops processes and best practices and provide suggestions to leadership on automation opportunities (order entry/reporting).
  • Communicate effectively and closely with cross-functional support teams including vendors and external teams.
  • Confirm all ad orders adhere to tech and creative specifications
  • Provide informed recommendations about system and workflow improvements.
  • Anticipate problems before they occur and work to solve them as quickly as possible. Be engaged in finding the best solutions for operational concerns.
  • Attention to detail and ownership of tasks, ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a large organization
  • Involved in testing new digital services systems and enhancements. Complete all testing as assigned, and provide constructive feedback when necessary.
  • Partner with staff from across departments as a liaison on projects, new procedures, new systems, workflows, best practices and campaign, or creative issues as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working within assigned deadlines

  • Strong MS Office experience, particularly strong Excel skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and workflows
  • Have sense of urgency and strong ability to prioritize tasks, be self-motivated, and able to effectively manage time and priorities
  • Work independently or as a team and multitask
  • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical team members and have the ability to tailor communication accordingly
  • Excellent people skills and group communication skills
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising operations and industry
  • Understanding of digital products and all relevant specifications, guidelines, availability, and creative performance
  • Subject matter expert on Spectrum Reach products as it relates to digital services and fulfillment
  • Ability to actively troubleshoot and solve client related concerns and issues with minimal oversight
  • Ability to learn new systems thoroughly and work to solve problems presented, while knowing when to alert and involve leaders for assistance
  • Has the ability to lead teams by example to get complex tasks up and running with accuracy
