About the Role:
DSJ Global is collaborating with a prominent chemical manufacturing firm in the health, beauty, and wellness sector, seeking to enhance their team with an Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist. The EHS Specialist will oversee EHS objectives and targets at the plant level, facilitate internal reporting of EHS performance metrics, and ensure that EHS programs, policies, and procedures are effectively developed, implemented, and maintained to guarantee compliance. This role is pivotal in fostering a robust EHS culture among all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance the site's safety culture by inspiring and coaching staff.
- Promote a Zero Incident philosophy for all personnel.
- Lead initiatives aimed at refining EHS programs to mitigate risks and meet sustainability goals.
- Conduct audits, formulate corrective actions, and verify adherence to EHS protocols.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and ensure appropriate corrective measures are executed.
- Analyze EHS data, manage reporting, and provide technical assistance.
- Support the development, engagement, and monitoring of key performance indicators relevant to EHS outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS within a chemical manufacturing context.
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001 standards.
- Self-driven professional capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative problem-solving skills in developing effective solutions.
