Remote, Oregon, United States Angle Health Full time

Changing Healthcare For Good

At Angle Health, we believe the healthcare system should be accessible, transparent, and easy to navigate. As a digital-first, data-driven health plan, we are replacing legacy systems with modern infrastructure to deliver our members the care they need when they need it. If you want to build the future of healthcare, we'd love for you to join us.

The Product Engineering Lead will be responsible for providing engineering leadership for Angle Health's advanced healthcare solutions. They will lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing our customer-facing digital product suite. Additionally, they will mentor engineers while serving as the main technical point of contact for the team, providing answers and guidance. Their primary focus will be on developing a framework that ensures Angle Health maximizes the value received from product development.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage technical activities by serving as the technical reference for product design
  • Develop and maintain technical details and specifications in support of Angle Health's products, including models, drawings, programming, and related support
  • Work directly with stakeholders to include, but not limited to, peers, clients, and leadership
  • Have a strong understanding of Angle Health's product needs and enjoy finding ways to use technology to build accessible, transparent, and easy-to-navigate healthcare solutions
  • Prepare and maintain design/product specifications, design guidelines, and design plans.
  • Participate in Value Analysis / Value Engineering activities to meet expectations for new or improved products
  • Follow good engineering practices and develop practical solutions.

What We Value

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, mathematics, or a similar technical field is required for this role
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python, SQL, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar) and data engineering frameworks
  • A highly analytical mindset and an eagerness to build technical solutions to complex business problems
  • High attention to detail and intellectual curiosity—you're not satisfied with surface-level answers. You want to dive into the data, the "how," and the "why" because "the way it's always been done" is not always the way it should be done
  • Low ego—the outcome matters more than who gets the credit
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals
  • Highly organized with an ability to multitask, problem-solve, and balance competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment

Bonus Points

  • At least 4 years of experience as a software engineer or similar technical role
