Accounting Clerk

We are currently seeking a responsible, organized and detail-oriented individual to join a high volume accounting team to assist with processing accounts payable expenses.
The Accounting Clerk ? Cash Management Specialist will assist with daily and monthly reconciliation procedures.
Ideal candidates for this role will have at least two years or business/accounting experience with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Pay
$18 to $21 an hour
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations (about 10-20 bank accounts of varying complexity) in a timely manner, to meet internal deadlines.
- Assist with daily bank reconciliation procedures, including use of both spreadsheets and bank reconciliation software to match records and identify reconciling items.
- Learn how store-level cash management procedures impact the bank reconciliations.
- Collaborate with internal and external contacts to resolve reconciling differences and research issues and/or discrepancies.
- Enter financial transactions in general ledger.
- Scan and retain digital and hard-copy documents in accordance with internal policies and for audit and internal purposes.
- Follow established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associates or bachelor?s degree in accounting a plus.
- Minimum 2 years business/accounting experience required, preferably as an accounting clerk.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
