Job Description

Hardware Hawaii, a local retail and wholesale hardware and lumber business, is seeking a customer-oriented and dependable individual for a full-time position as a Accounts Receivable Clerk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
  • Collect on account by sending out billing reminders and communicating with customers
  • Prepare cash and check payments for bank deposit
  • Establish accounts for employee discount programs and customer accounts
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues
  • Audit cashiers' daily transactions and reconcile customer accounts
  • File daily accounting documents and maintain accurate records
  • Research and reconcile customer accounts receivable
  • Perform other various accounting duties as needed

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, employees, and vendors
  • Ability to read and understand various documents
