The most important aspect of this position is familiarity with Opera and billing systems. Sales knowledge will be learned on the job, and is not necessary to this entry-level position.
This is an exciting new opportunity for a Sales Coordinator to join the sales and marketing team. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing. You will be assisting them with all administrative responsibilities and with providing systems support, including such tasks as: receiving phone calls, preparing and landing contracts, receiving, recording, and submitting lead proposals, mailing, interacting with and monitoring all queries as directed, and updating and maintaining systems such as Envision and Prio. This is not a complete list of responsibilities, which may at times also include assisting colleagues with large group check ins, completing accounting tasks as directed, and submitting weekly sales reports.
Responsibilities also include: Making reservations, taking inquiries for bookings, finalizing groups and following up for rooming lists and payment. It is imperative that our Sales Coordinator be able to build and maintain good working relationships with key customers, agents, and colleagues from all departments, as well as perfecting their working knowledge of the industry and local market by seeking out relevant information.
Working hours are Monday to Friday - 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a possibility for shifted office hours during holidays and busy event dates.
