Manager Trainee

About the role:
The first role you will learn is how to write estimates with the highest industry standards of repair safety and quality per OEM manufacturer recommendations. You will also learn the policies and procedures of various insurance and fleet management companies. With oversight, it will be your responsibility to ensure the overall efficiency, profitability, and reputation of our auto repair operations by providing timely, accurate, detailed, and customer-approved estimates for all assignment repair orders that we receive among other things.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
o Must be at least 18 years of age;
o Must be able to provide three (3) references;
o Looking to be a long-term member of our team;
o Strong interest in the automotive service industry;
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
o Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check;
o Positive attitude, highly motivated, and a strong problem-solver;
o Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn estimating software quickly;
o Fluent in English - Bilingual is a plus, but not required (Spanish or Vietnamese); and
o During interview, a test will be given, which includes an attempt at writing an estimate.
Licensing, Regulations, and Certification Requirements:
o Must have a valid Driver's License and be eligible to work in the United States;
o Willingness to become an I-Car Certified Estimator; and
o Willing to become a Texas DPS Vehicle State Inspector.
Education / Experience Requirements:
o At least a High School Diploma or (GED Equivalent);
o Willingness to learn and be trained;
o Willingness to demonstrate exceptional damage estimating skills;
o Willingness to learn how to write estimates using CCC One and in other software; and
o Able to effectively communicate with technicians to create an accurate estimate for repair.
Time Management Skills:
o Able to work Monday through Friday (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM) – 45 hours/week; and
o Must be at work on time each morning – very essential to the business.
Office Environment Etiquette Requirements:
o Highly Organized & Detail Oriented;
o Demonstrate planning and coordinating skills;
o Excellent Telephone Etiquette & Communication Skills;
o Ability to multi-task & work well in a busy environment;
o Demonstrate the ability to deal courteously and effectively with customers regardless of
their age, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, dress, or demeanor and
provide exceptional customer service; and
o Comfortable with Business Casual Dress Code — attire should strike a balance between
professional and practical with a business casual shirt, jeans or durable pants and
comfortable non-slip close-toe footwear or safety boots.
Mathematical Skills:
o Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals; and
o Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Physical Requirements:
o Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds;
o Moderate noise levels in this working environment;
o Occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet or humid conditions;
o Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and/or caustic chemicals; and
o Must be able to sit for long periods of time and must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop,
push/pull, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently.
