Insurance Administrative Assistant (Manoa #OFFICE_INDEED

Looking to gain new skills in a job that allows you to grow professionally?

Our client is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant to join their team and assist with answering a high volume of incoming phone calls, processing various insurance policy transactions, preparing insurance forms and documents, and performing general administrative tasks such as scanning and filing. You will also have the opportunity to obtain your Property and Casualty insurance license.

The qualified candidate will have previous office/sales experience, excellent communication skills, and can work in a fast-paced environment. Apply today to be immediately considered.

Full-time, 8:00am-5:00pm

Location
Honolulu, Oahu

Pay
$18 to $20 an hour

Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls, take/relay messages.
  • Prepare insurance forms and documents.
  • Process various transactions to customers policies.
  • Provide customer service and support efforts to acquire/retain profitable business.
  • Prepare company appointment request forms for agents, using paper forms and electronic filing method.
  • Scan and update license copies to agency system and update renewal expiration dates accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Previous office and/or sales experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • High level of professionalism and good phone etiquette.
  • Strong organizational, time management, multitasking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the islands helpful.
  • Motivated, strong initiative, and willingness to learn.
