The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Administrator with a strong background in database management to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building, analyzing, and managing databases, and will work closely with our cross-functional team to bring our innovative products to life.

Job Duties:

  • Manage PostgreSQL Server databases
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes
  • Monitor system's health and performance
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
  • Develop and maintain documentation of database policies, procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Design, develop, and implement database structures, schemas, and processes to support new and existing applications.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities
  • Responsible for the development and administration of Power BI tools
  • Ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights
  • Create interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Ability to perform a wide range of tasks such as reporting, building dashboards, building data models, analyzing datasets, and administration of Power BI tools

What you Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Database Administrator, specifically with SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of database design principles, normalization, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with backup and recovery methods, high availability solutions, and replication techniques for PostgreSQL databases.
  • Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance analysis techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on professional with thorough knowledge of scripting, data source integration and advanced visual development in Power BI
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including programming experience in writing DAX queries in Power BI

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based database management solutions, such as AWS RDS
  • Familiarity with database security best practices and GDPR/other data protection regulations.
