Position Summary:


The Packaging Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of packaging projects from conception through completion.

This role ensures that all packaging initiatives meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives while aligning with company standards and client requirements.

The Packaging Project Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, procurement, production, and marketing to deliver innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:
Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Coordinate and lead project meetings, setting agendas, and ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with design, engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure packaging solutions are feasible and meet all specifications.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand market needs and incorporate feedback into packaging designs.

Quality Assurance:
Ensure packaging designs meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
Conduct quality checks and implement improvements based on feedback and testing results.

Vendor and Supplier Management:
Source and manage relationships with packaging suppliers and factories.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective and timely supply of packaging materials.

Innovation and Sustainability:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in packaging technology.
Lead initiatives to develop sustainable packaging solutions that reduce environmental impact and align with company sustainability goals.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including specifications, timelines, budgets, and progress reports.
Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, challenges, and successes.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging project management or a related field.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex packaging projects from initiation to completion.

Skills:
Strong packaging design and packaging sourcing skills
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
Knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:
This position may require occasional travel to supplier sites, production facilities, and client locations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
