Assist the Manager in the supervision, management, and administration of the marina.

Plans and implements the various phases and projects of the program and handles problems and deviations in accordance with standing instructions, and established procedures.

Assists in carrying out program projects, primarily in program planning, staff training, administrative duties and annual budget. Provides sailing instructions to include teaching scheduled classes when required. Assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of recreation aids. Ensures the work is completed in compliance with established procedures and instructions. Trains new employees, instructs proper procedures and solves problems related to work.
Performs maintenance on boats to include sail repair, sail maintenance, rigging hardware maintenance and replacement, and outboard engine repair. Supervises safety operations. Assumes operational duties in the absence of the Manager.

Supervises employees to include assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending, and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment.

Must be alert to alcohol abuse and take appropriate action.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.

Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Performs other duties as assigned.
