Main Purpose

The Business Development Manager's purpose is to generate new business for Indeed Flex in the Light Industrial, Clerical, and Hospitality sectors. The BDM will secure new contracts and support the sales organization in growing the business. The BDM will also help clients reduce costs, improve performance, and encourage the utilization of technology to help people get jobs.

  • Develop new business opportunities through a variety of market research, cold calling, and internal collaboration with other sales teams within the organization.
  • Develop relationships in the community by WALKING INTO business and generating contacts and leads.
  • Visit clients on-site to deliver presentations on the Flex solution.
  • Build a strong pipeline of fully qualified opportunities within the Light Industrial and Clerical Sectors.
  • Promote and convert the sales pipeline.
  • Delivering confident, well-researched, and individually-tailored Flex Solutions to key decision-makers to close new business for the company
  • Sharing industry best practices with clients to maximize the value of Indeed Flex's solutions and services.
  • Understanding the Indeed Flex Platform and having the ability to present its features and benefits to clients as the subject matter experts.

Requirements
  • 1 to 2+ years of business development or commercial staffing sales experience
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Commercially minded with high-level attention to detail
  • Superb ability to build rapport quickly within a face-to-face and digital environment
  • Previous experience in managing multiple sales processes through to completion
  • B2B experience with walking into a business and generating leads.
  • Must possess the desire to succeed and exceed goals put in place
  • Strong IT skills and experience using CRM systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • High level of technical acumen and proficiency to learn and utilize new software and technologies quickly to continuously evolve and improve our tech-driven advantage
  • High level of analytical and critical thinking skills with a strong drive to investigate, analyze, and resolve simple and complex problems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet conflicting deadlines with minimal direct supervision
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace software suite
  • Highly proficient with utilizing several tools to enable real-time collaboration with a globally distributed workforce, such as Miro, Monday, Salesforce, Google Meet, Zoom, Slack, etc
  • A commitment to driving the Indeed Flex mission: to help people get jobs instantly
