Responsibilities

Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Senior Product Owner. The Senior Product Owner will work as a member of our HxGN EAM Development Team. Product Owner will work in several areas: Product Planning, Product Development, Launch, Release and Lifecycle Management. Tasks, roles, and responsibilities will vary between these areas at any given time. This role will continuously engage with both internal and external functional teams to maintain a healthy product ecosystem. The focus of this role will be on designing, developing and implementing integrations between the HxGN EAM product and other software products both internal and external using Apache NiFi.

Apache NiFi Integrations:

  • Design and implement data flow solutions using Apache NiFi
  • Coordinate with development teams to integrate custom processors and services
  • Implement best practices to ensure optimal performance and uptime
  • Optimize data flow processing, backpressure settings, and resource utilization
  • Implement and manage security configurations, including SSL/TLS, authentication, and authorization
  • Ensure data protection using NiFi's encryption capabilities
  • Implement and monitor data lineage and provenance policies
  • Update and maintain documentation related to configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides

Release Management:

  • Actively manage the lifecycle of the product to ensure releases are delivered successfully
  • Create & maintain project plans to facilitate cross-functional acceptance of new product functionality delivered within new releases
  • Track & report overall status of release management

Product Strategy:

  • Maintain basic understanding of product functionality
  • Guide enhancement request process from beginning to end
  • Apply effect business process engineering techniques to internal systems used to track development activity

Sales / Customer Support:

  • Triage customer escalations and provide solutions where possible
  • Serve as subject matter expert to support internal team, field sales, partners, and end customers
  • Contribute to creation of product marketing materials, such as brochures, videos, and other media
  • Support and/or lead customer-facing webinars and other external presentations
  • Maintain a limited set of product documentation and presentations
  • Support product certification audits

Qualifications

  • Experience designing, developing and implementing integrations using Apache NiFi
  • Technical degrees are preferred as are advanced degrees, with at least 5 years of related experience required
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • The ability to handle multiple projects
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively deliver informative, well-organized presentations
  • Strong business analysis skills - requirements gathering, documentation (requirements and technical), process mapping, etc.
  • Ability to work in multiple time zones
